Red Carpet Trend: Blunt Bangs

Written By Unknown on Thursday, 31 March 2011 | 18:25

Blunt bangs have been finding their way to the red carpet lately... as seen on Sandra Bullock & Olivia Wilde at the Golden Globes and Taylor Swift at the American Music Awards.
These ladies look gorgeous and you can too with a few tips from Internationally acclaimed stylist, Sherri Jessee. Adding in a fantastic fringe is a great way to change your style with out losing your length.
Eye lash dusting fringe is lovely on long, oval face shapes as bangs will re-proportion your face giving it the illusion of better balance.

This blunt look is best revealed on straighter textures of hair. To smooth your hair and simultaneously generate gorgeous volume in the crown, spray the fan-favorite root lifter, RUSK Blofoam, into the root area and blow dry using a large round brush.

If you have curly hair like Taylor Swift, you can also have the look with the correct tools and products. To provide heat protection, shine and touchable hold always mist with W8LESS hairspray before straightening with a flat iron. If you begin at the bottom and work your way up to the top using 1" sections this look will last for days

Many stylists will offer complementary bang trims. Sherri says that average hair grows about a half inch a month so frequents nips will be essential to maintain the perfect length. However, have no fear...  If you don't want to keep them up, in no time you will be sporting another trend: side swept bangs!

Rusk products are available at your professional salon, Ulta and at www.stylesource.com
