How to Get the Look: Award Winning Oscar Hair
RUSK spokesperson, red carpet expert, Nancy O’Dell looked her usual gorgissimo with Mr. Oscar himself! Donning an elegant chignon, Nancy was right on trend and looking lovely, as always. Let us take a look at the variety of award winning hair looks. I will share my professional insight and easy styling tips on how to get the looks yourself.
BETTER BOB.
Sunrise Coigney rocked the red carpet with her classic, blunt cut, chin length bob. To get hair this straight and shiny, you will want to spray small sections with a heat protector (RUSK Thermal Iron Spray) and a flat iron smooth.
LONG and LUSCIOUS.
Jennifer Lawrence was stunning with her long and luscious locks. Even more appropriate for daytime, this sexy look is easy to achieve with only a blow dryer and round brush. The styling trick here is as you dry, spray with hairspray (RUSK W8LESS Plus) then roll each section and pin it. When you get the entire head dried, allow your “dry set” to completely cool before you take the pins out and lightly brush through. This method creates body and soft, touchable curls.
PIXI PERFECT.
Michelle Williams looks amazing with her perfect pixi. Styling a great cut and color is simple. A small amount of a texturizing creme (RUSK Radical Creme) emulsified throughout damp hair and combed into place with do it. The trick here is to start off with amazing color and cut expertly crafted by your professional stylist.
CLASSIC TOP KNOTS.
Hailee Steinfeld looked sweet with her classic up-do. Create the foundation by rolling the hair on hot rollers. Brush the hair back to the crown and secure into a pony-tail. Split the pony-tail into 5 separate sections. Create a loop with each section and pin it securely. Accessorize with a fun and elegant headband.
